Bio
Claire Williamson is the Senior Energy Policy Advocate at the North Carolina Justice Center (NCJC). She advocates for safe and affordable energy policies for low income North Carolinians. Prior to joining the NCJC in 2020, she worked for the DC Sustainable Energy Utility implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy programs for residents of the District of Columbia.
Claire holds Master of Science in Environmental Science and Master of Public Affairs degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies from American University. She is native North Carolinian and now lives in Durham. In her free time she enjoys long distance running, improv comedy, and spending time with family.
