Environmental Justice Community Action Network (EJCAN) seeks an individual to serve as the Project Coordinator for a high-energy, fast-paced team. The Program Coordinator will focus on the Renewable Energy, EJ, and Public Wellbeing Project (REnEW) which will focus on ground and surface water testing.

The Project Coordinator will report to the Program Coordinator on the progress of the REnEW project including participant recruitment, education and outreach. They will also assist with planning and support for responding to participants regarding test results. Their duties will include managing various administrative tasks and ensuring the project meets organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordination of the ongoing activities.
  • Create and maintain project records, reports, and presentations.
  • Assure project goals and deliverables are met.
  • Keep the Program Coordinator apprised of deliverables, milestones, and any issues that may arise.
  • Schedule and organize project-related meetings and events.

Qualifications

This person should have enthusiasm for, and the ability to communicate EJCAN’s program deliverables with tact, persuasion, and passion. Steeped with lived experience and history, the ideal candidate will have firsthand experience working with EJ communities.

Salary/Benefits

Compensation $20/hr

This position will transition to a full time position after six months.
