Information
Join the Professional Fire Fighters of Greensboro and NC Conservation Network for a screening of the short film Burned: Protecting the Protectors.
This compelling documentary follows one individual’s journey to uncover the connection between “forever chemicals” (PFAS) and firefighter health. Following the 30-minute film, we’ll host a discussion with Fire Captain Vincent Messina, Haw Riverkeeper Emily Sutton, and Katy May of the Center for Environmental and Health Effects of PFAS to discuss how PFAS has impacted the fire service and community members across North Carolina.
We’ll close with a social hour and an opportunity to engage with our speakers and other attendees. Food and drinks will be provided.
