Conserving North Carolina’s natural heritage
From the mountains to the coast, North Carolina is blessed with a gorgeous and diverse landscape. Yet, multiple threats – sediment and stormwater in our rivers, emerging toxic chemicals, sprawling land use patterns, and unsustainable use of rural landscapes – are eroding the legacy we will pass on to our children. NC Conservation Network supports a variety of approaches to manage these threats, from conservation to regulation to education, so future generations can benefit from North Carolina’s vibrant natural heritage as well.
