You can make a difference
Through a gift to NC Conservation Network in your will or living trust, you can make a significant gift while protecting your family’s financial security. Your gift will have no impact on your current cash flow, and you can modify your gift at any point. Please consider making us aware of your bequest. By informing us of your wishes, we can recognize you for your thoughtful generosity and better plan to protect our state for generations.
NC Conservation Network can accept the following types of legacy gifts:
- Bequests
Name NC Conservation Network in your will in one of the following ways:
– As an outright gift. Either a designated dollar amount or percentage of your estate can be specified.
– As a remainder beneficiary to receive funds only after specific sums have been paid to individual beneficiaries.
– You can also add us to your will through an amendment called a codicil. - Life Insurance
A tax-deductible gift of whole or universal life insurance can be made by naming NC Conservation Network as owner and beneficiary. You could purchase a new policy or donate a policy that you currently own but no longer need. Check with your insurance agent for the details. - IRA’S and pension plans
Your estate can save both income taxes and estate taxes if you make NC Conservation Network a death beneficiary of your individual retirement account, pension, 401(k), or other retirement savings plan. - Charitable remainder trusts
You can fund a charitable remainder trust with cash or appreciated property and receive income from the assets for your lifetime, qualify for charitable deductions, and save capital gains and estate taxes. Upon your death and/or that of a loved one, the trust assets would be distributed outright to NC Conservation Network.
