Super Bold Move
I was raised a football fan, but the actual Super Bowl has lost its luster for me. Now, I look forward to the inventive commercials and the annual kick ball game hosted by Dean, the Upper Neuse RIVERKEEPER, more than the game itself.
The Super Bowl is a massive consumption fest, not only at the game, but around the country as people (like me) 'celebrate' the day. But, this year the folks running the Super Bowl have decided to make it carbon neutral. That's right, they'll be offsetting all of their greenhouse gas emissions by planting trees and buying credits.
It's a start. Maybe next year they'll go zero waste?
